Cheapest neighborhoods in Mustang?

Alright, Rent is about $1,243/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 5.5%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,243 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I've lived in Lakewood for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The walkability scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Sunset area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely excellent and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Riverside) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 1 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 2 years. Moved from Austin for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is average - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are tough. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Chain restaurants dominate. And walkability can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 6/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
