What's it really like living in Mustang?

Hey everyone, I work in food service and The median home value here is around $227,800, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 21,290, Mustang is a small town. Rent is about $1,243/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
