Worst things about Mustang nobody talks about

Random thought, Household incomes average around $88,262 in Mustang. The median home value here is around $227,800, which is actually reasonable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thanks for reading.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 1 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 1 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Moved here from Nashville about 3 years ago. I have mixed feelings honestly. Still getting used to cost of living but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2021 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 33, moved here 10 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in Pine Hills and East, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good healthcare facilities
2. Active local events and festivals
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The pet-friendliness situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Pine Hills: Great for remote workers. excellent vibes, walkable.
- East: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $70K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
