What's it really like living in Myrtle Beach?
Hey folks, Crime rate is something to consider -Myrtle Beach sits at 1,190.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 37,214, Myrtle Beach is a smaller city. Median household income is $53,679, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thoughts? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
