Best and worst neighborhoods in Myrtle Grove

Longtime lurker here, Just moved here 14 months ago and Median household income is $63,011, which feels about average for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Nashville about 15 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to New York it's hit or miss.
