OK so Household incomes average around $63,011 in Myrtle Grove. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Any advice would be great. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much reasonable but now it's challenging.

I've lived in Uptown for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Diverse dining options
- The school system scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Meadowbrook. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from LA about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is decent.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..
