Been meaning to ask this. Rent is about $1,340/month for a decent place. With a population of 106K, Nampa is a mid-size city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What would you do? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
