Anyone regret moving to Nampa?

First post here. Crime rate is something to consider -Nampa sits at 311.6 per 100K. It's a a mid-size city city with about 106K people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input.

Came here for retirement and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The cultural scene is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
