Best neighborhoods in Nampa

Been meaning to ask this. It's a a mid-size city city with about 106K people. Homes are going for about $332,500 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thoughts? The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in education. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
