Considering Nampa vs Pittsburgh -help me decide

First post here. Is this normal for Nampa? Thanks! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Came here for retirement and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The healthcare is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'm a sales manager and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in marketing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Korean.

No regrets on my end..

I've lived in West for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good airport with direct flights
- The safety scene is decent

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
