What Nanakuli does better than anywhere else

Hi all, The unemployment rate is 5.8%, which is about average. It's a a small town city with about 12,282 people. With a population of 12,282, Nanakuli is a small town. Poverty rate is 12.3%, which is around average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..
