OK so I'm originally from Minneapolis and Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 15.2%, which is higher than I expected. Rent is about $787/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 5.2%, which is about average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
