I relocated for work and With a population of 149K, Naperville is a mid-size city. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? Any help is appreciated. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The public transit is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Riverside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good airport with direct flights
- The weather scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..
