First time home buyer in Naples
Hi all, I work in energy and Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. Rent is about $1,968/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Naples sits at 49.2 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.1%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
Pros:
- Good job market
- Friendly people
- Low taxes
- Lots of new development
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Rising rent prices
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Homelessness issues downtown
Thanks! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.
