Longtime lurker here, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 7.6%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks for reading. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like sushi.
