- Growing job market
- Good schools in certain areas
- Safe neighborhoods
What I don't:
- Nightlife is lacking
- Chain restaurants everywhere
- Pollen season is no joke
- Not much to do late at night
The school system in Madison is actually pretty good. The food scene in Madison is honestly incredible.

OK let me break this down from someone who's been here a while.
The Gulch vs Belmont-Hillsboro: completely different vibes. The Gulch is more excellent with walkable streets and local shops. Belmont-Hillsboro is established and better for young professionals.
Cost-wise, expect /mo minimum for anything decent in The Gulch. In Belmont-Hillsboro you can find stuff for /mo.
Honestly the biggest downside is {downside}.. I feel like {city} is becoming more expensive without getting better.

Alright, I'm going to write the reply I wish someone had written for me when I was researching Nashville-Davidson.
Background: 31, remote worker, moved from Columbus 10 years ago for work. Currently in Franklin.
**Housing:**
The market is great right now. We went with Franklin because it was walkable. Paid /mo starting out, now at /mo. If I could do it again, I'd look at Sylvan Park - it's up-and-coming and the value is better.
**Work:**
marketing jobs are decent here. I was worried coming from Columbus but the market is solid. Salary-wise, expect it varies wildly by field.
**Social Life:**
This was my biggest worry. First 5 months were tough. Then I found my people through a kickball league. Now I have a solid group. Nashville-Davidson people are down-to-earth once you break through.
**Day to Day:**
- Groceries: about average
- Traffic: manageable if you avoid rush hour
- Dining out: better than you'd expect
- Entertainment: solid local scene
**Would I move here again?**
Public transit is {transit_feel} - you'll want a car.. For retirees, I'd give it a 8/10.
