Random thought, We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $146,500, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 2,991, Nashville is a small town. Median household income is $61,753, which feels about average for the area. It's a a small town city with about 2,991 people. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Does this match your experience? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Oak Park. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
