Moving to Nashwauk with kids -good idea?

Hey, Born and raised here. You can expect to pay around $697 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Let me know your thoughts. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 2 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Indian places. the quality of life is solid.
