Came here for a fresh start and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The pet-friendliness is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much stable but now it's better than expected.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Atlanta about 15 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
