Worst things about National City nobody talks about

We're a young couple and Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $580,900 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in engineering. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like sushi.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
