First post here. Just moved here 9 months ago and Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from San Francisco about 8 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Hope this helps!.
