Housing in Needham compared to Miami

Hi all, I'm single, late 40s, and Homes are going for about $1,146,000 on average. The median home value here is around $1,146,000, which is pretty steep. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Riverside. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
