Best neighborhoods to rent in Neosho?

Poverty rate is 8.7%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $148,600 on average. Household incomes average around $55,159 in Neosho. It's a a small town city with about 12,857 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 13 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Bought a house here in 2017 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Meadowbrook area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely better than expected and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
