So, Been living here since 2018. You can expect to pay around $3,044 for rent here. With a population of 13,344, Nesconset is a small town. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. Any help is appreciated.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 7 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in marketing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
