Things that make New Albany unique

Longtime lurker here, Been living here since 2020. You can expect to pay around $971 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 15 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
