Is New Albany worth it salary-wise?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Poverty rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,134 for rent here. Median household income is $232,524, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $232,524 in New Albany. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What do you all think? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Hope this helps!.

I work in marketing here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is decent. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Bought a house here in 2019 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in government. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is solid in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in North. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in retail. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Hope this helps!.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.
