Things New Baltimore needs to improve

Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $183,696 in New Baltimore. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Good healthcare facilities
- Walkable downtown
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Sprawl everywhere
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Oak Park. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like seafood.

No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
