Housing in New Brighton compared to Kansas City

Random thought, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $716/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 9.9%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $716 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Would love some local perspective. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Austin it's pretty good.
