Best neighborhoods in New Britain

Born and raised here. It's a a smaller city city with about 73,301 people. Median household income is $57,036, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,187 for rent here. Homes are going for about $207,300 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Sunset for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- The weather scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.
