Best and worst neighborhoods in New Brunswick

Hi all, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $60,248, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $316,800 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Poverty rate is 25.4%, which is higher than I expected. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? Appreciate any input. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Uptown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.
