Studio apartments in New Cassel -options?

I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $143,196, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $509,500, which is pretty steep. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for New Cassel? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (The Heights) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Old Town for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The outdoor recreation scene is improving

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to LA it's decent.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The job market is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
