OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $698/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -New Castle sits at 508.2 per 100K. Homes are going for about $72,000 on average. The unemployment rate is 7.3%, which is concerning. Poverty rate is 18.9%, which is higher than I expected. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:

- Nice parks and trails
- Good schools
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Lack of diversity
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity
What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
