Curious what people think. I'm single, late 40s, and Rent is about $947/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 7.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -New Haven sits at 297.1 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thanks for reading. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
