Best apartments in New Haven under ?

Curious what people think. I'm single, late 40s, and Rent is about $947/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 7.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -New Haven sits at 297.1 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thanks for reading. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
