Best neighborhoods to rent in New Hope?

OK so Thoughts? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 29, moved here 13 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Old Town and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Friendly community, easy to meet people
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The cost of living situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Old Town: Great for couples. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt average. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $80K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
It's not for everyone but it works for us.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much developing but now it's better than expected.

Bought a house here in 2018 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the South side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
