Hey, You can expect to pay around $1,634 for rent here. Poverty rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Is this normal for New Hyde Park? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The housing market is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..
