Internet providers in New Iberia?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but It's a a smaller city city with about 27,926 people. With a population of 27,926, New Iberia is a smaller city. Rent is about $878/month for a decent place. Median household income is $50,802, which feels on the lower side for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 10 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in engineering. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like seafood.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Greenfield area are challenging. Kids love it here.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much established but now it's decent.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Eastside) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely underrated and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
