Moving to New Iberia for work -advice?

Rent is about $878/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great Mediterranean places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Pittsburgh it's solid.
