Best companies to work for in New Lexington?
Been meaning to ask this. Let me know your thoughts. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Tampa about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is underrated.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Phoenix it's hit or miss.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
