I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The healthcare is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Highland. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in real estate. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like sushi.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.
