Hi all, I relocated for work and You can expect to pay around $1,558 for rent here. Rent is about $1,558/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Old Town area are decent. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the The Heights side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Boston it's surprisingly good.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
