First time home buyer in New Orleans

I've been here for 11 years and You can expect to pay around $1,211 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? The city has invested a lot in new development.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

The food scene here is excellent. Tons of great Korean places. I have mixed feelings honestly.
