Moving from Portland to New Orleans next month

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 16.3%, which is higher than I expected. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
