Hey everyone, The unemployment rate is 4.8%, which is about average. With a population of 376K, New Orleans is a mid-size city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
