Things that make New Philadelphia unique

OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -New Philadelphia sits at 45.9 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $866 for rent here. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Has anyone dealt with this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

No regrets on my end..
