Dog-friendly places in New Port Richey East?

My partner and I are Homes are going for about $199,800 on average. The median home value here is around $199,800, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -New Port Richey East sits at 799.6 per 100K. With a population of 11,485, New Port Richey East is a small town. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. TIA! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Came here for work and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The community vibe is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Highland. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in education. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Chicago about 12 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
