New Port Richey East in the winter -how bad?

Anyone else feel this way? It's a a small town city with about 11,485 people. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Is this normal for New Port Richey East? Thanks for reading. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to.

I work in hospitality here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is pretty good. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Greenfield for 8 years. Moved from Seattle for cost of living. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Road conditions need improvement. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 8/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I genuinely enjoy living here.
