What New Port Richey does better than anywhere else

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm single, late 50s, and Crime rate is something to consider -New Port Richey sits at 790.3 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 17,057 people. You can expect to pay around $1,154 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.
