Most overrated things about New Ulm

Hi all, Been living here since 2017. The median home value here is around $192,700, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $63,984 in New Ulm. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Thanks for reading.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Raleigh about 1 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
