Moving from Raleigh to New York next month

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and Poverty rate is 13.6%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $751,700 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.9%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 55°F, so the weather is moderate. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Let me know your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing from you all. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much reasonable but now it's decent.

I work in marketing here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor recreation is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
