I'm a college student here and Crime rate is something to consider -Newark sits at 173.7 per 100K. The median home value here is around $1,094,200, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $2,730/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $2,730 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. Any help is appreciated.
